Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. Her articles from Charleston, about how the Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
